Ivyline, the market leading indoor plant pot supplier, believe that investment in new product development is fundamental in the core markets that Ivyline supply. “Ivyline launched 180 new lines at GLEE 2017, driven by innovation and trend, off the back of the research and the data collated from the market. It shows that statement pieces and different materials and finishes are at the forefront of the growth in this sector, and we are leading it!”, says James Brindle, UK and Ireland Sales Manager.
Ivyline have investment in new product as a fundamental part of its strategy, but research, sourcing and then bringing to market need executing into stores. “It’s important that these lines reach as many of our customers as possible to help drive their numbers” says James “and since we are in a market dominated by climate, peaks and troughs, I wanted to make sure that these opportunities are reaching as many customers as possible ready for that light switch moment, and 2018 was that test case.”
Ivyline incentivised the agents on getting the new product into their channel, but the fundamental difference was not basing this on turnover, but percentage of new product into the accounts they have on area. “We knew that if these lines were in store it would sell and so the depth of range would benefit all involved” says James “and I was pleased to award MD Agencies from the South East their winning cheque at our Pre Glee Sales Meeting last week!”
Peter Chrysostomou of MD Agencies said: “The quality new product ranging that Ivyline produced from GLEE meant that our job was easy, and our customers have seen such huge growth from it!”
