MD Agencies Scoop Ivyline Award...
Ivyline, the market leading indoor plant pot supplier, believe that investment in new product development is fundamental in the core markets that Ivyline supply. “Ivyline launched 180 new lines at GLEE 2017, driven by innovation and trend, off the back of the research and the data collated from the market. It shows that statement pieces and different materials and finishes are at the forefront of the growth in this sector, and we are leading it!”, says James Brindle, UK and Ireland Sales Manager.

Ivyline have investment in new product as a fundamental part of its strategy, but research, sourcing and then bringing to market need executing into stores. “It’s important that these lines reach as many of our customers as possible to help drive their numbers” says James “and since we are in a market dominated by climate, peaks and troughs, I wanted to make sure that these opportunities are reaching as many customers as possible ready for that light switch moment, and 2018 was that test case.”

Ivyline incentivised the agents on getting the new product into their channel, but the fundamental difference was not basing this on turnover, but percentage of new product into the accounts they have on area. “We knew that if these lines were in store it would sell and so the depth of range would benefit all involved” says James “and I was pleased to award MD Agencies from the South East their winning cheque at our Pre Glee Sales Meeting last week!”

Peter Chrysostomou of MD Agencies said: “The quality new product ranging that Ivyline produced from GLEE meant that our job was easy, and our customers have seen such huge growth from it!”

Neudorff updates bestsellers for 2019...
12 months on from launching the UK’s first fridge-free nematode range, Neudorff returned to Glee 2018 with bold changes to some of its best-selling products.

The company’s glyphosate-free weedkiller range, which includes Fast Acting Weedkiller and the systemic version; Fast Acting & Long Lasting Weedkiller, has been renamed as WeedFree and the Pyrol Bug & Larvae Killer range will now come under the BugFree name.

The updates were made following the hugely successful launch of the company’s nematode range in 2017, which includes three varieties; LeatherjacketFree, LawnGrubFree and VineWeevilFree, with the latter receiving two GIMA Awards in 2018, including the prestigious GIMA Sword of Excellence.

Neudorff sales director, Jude Beharall said: “The feedback to the improved packaging designs for the WeedFree and BugFree ranges has been extremely positive. The updates have also led to a fresh wave of interest in the already best-selling glyphosate-free weedkiller range, not only due to its environmental credentials but also because it is a tried, tested and established option, giving retailers the added confidence that they can provide a glyphosate-free alternative that will give their customers results.

“Improved consumer awareness for ingredients used in weed, feed and control products, combined with new and increased listings for our products means that 2019 is already shaping up to be a very interesting year for Neudorff.”
